About Burke, Amanda and 'WATL'

Hi! We're Burke and Amanda and this is We Are The Land. WATL was originally started by Burke to share stories of protecting ecosystems, farm land, and the changes needed to build sustainable communities. 

Together we love to travel whenever possible. Whether its a weekend trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains or a family trip to Maine or Wyoming they're always looking forward to their next trip. 

Recently we purchased and upgraded a camper van to take more of these trips and to help other people take their bucket list trips. The queen-sized mattress and overhead fan make it feel like you're sleeping in your own bed while the size of the van allows you to access most areas that cars can.
